Unlike conventional H4 headlights, these Hellas are D.O.T. certified street-legal in all 50 U.S. states. By using a similar HB2 bulb instead of an H4 bulb, these headlights skirt the legal technicality that makes actual H4 headlights "legal for offroad use only" in the U.S. The result is that they are a little pricier than the actual Hella H4 headlights (below) and are not quite as good, but if you need D.O.T. complaint headlights and want an improvement over the stock sealed-beams, they the best ones available.
Note: For significantly less money we have generic "knock offs" of these, linked below, which are also D.O.T. approved. They are not quite as good as the Hellas but come surprisingly close for just $39.95/pair (not each) plus bulbs.
