Most orders are shipped within 1-3 business days of when they are placed, as noted on the individual product listings. But we still ask you to allow 5-10 business days for delivery (within the U.S.) if you order via Economy shipping (our standard method). We don't always take that long, but ask that you allow that long in case we happen to be particularly busy at the time of your order. Made-to-order items (upholstery, interior panels, carpet, engines, transmissions, rebuilt cylinder heads, and a few other items) can take additional time to manufacture (not including the delivery time), as noted in the product listing. Also, international orders may take longer, depending on the shipping method chosen. Please note that delivery time frames on orders placed via standard Economy shipping are estimates and are not guaranteed. If you need date-guaranteed delivery we recommend using Expedited/Express shipping options (see below).
Your order may arrive in more than one shipment. When we ship your order, we'll email you an invoice indicating what shipped, and what if anything was backordered or is shipping separately. (See busdepot.com/backorders-stock-outs/ ) If an item is listed as backordered but also says Dropship or D/S, it is not actually backordered but merely shipping separately in the near future from another location. When a backordered item ships, we'll email you an updated invoice showing everything that has shipped at that point. If you would like to know of any backorders before your order ships, or would like an ETA on an existing backorder, please feel free to email us or call Customer Service at 215-234-VWVW.
In a hurry? Express service is available (including overnight air) on most items.
Expedited service (Red Label or Blue Label) can be chosen on checkout, allowing you to receive in-stock items as soon as the next business day depending on service level chosen. Expedited service is also available to most destinations outside of the U.S.. Orders placed online after 3 pm Eastern Time will be processed the following business day. If time is extremely critical, you may want to call your order in so we can process it instantly.
You can also pick up your order at our parts counter in Perkiomenville, Pennsylvania (about an hour from Philadelphia, Allentown, and Reading). Just choose Will Call on checkout. We recommend ordering at least a day or two ahead of time, as there may be items that are not in stock but can be obtained on short notice if we know you're coming for them. We're open weekdays from 10 am to 7 pm.
Please note that our Expedited/Express delivery estimates are based on delivery times supplied by FedEx, UPS, or USPS. The carriers go by "business days" (not calendar days), meaning that weekends and holidays do not count as a day. Also the day that the item ships does not count as a day. So if you order via 2-3 day service and the order ships on a Wednesday, two business days would be Friday and three would be Monday. The carriers are generally very reliable. However, in the event that the carrier does not deliver on time, we have no control over that and the only recourse we can offer you is what the carrier offers as per their terms and conditions. Under normal circumstances they refund most or all of the shipping charge, so we'll refund it to you. However if there were extenuating circumstances (weather delays en route, road closure, incorrect address, acts of God, etc.) they will not refund so neither can we.
