This is the correct genuine VW part and it works as intended. We import it directly from Germany because there is no good aftermarket substitute. Other retailers sell a generic hose with adapters to make it fit. Please read the warnings before considering that version. That version causes your steering pump to be twice as loud (audible from the driver seat) and relocates the power steering switch to a place where it can be hit by the alternator belt if not carefully placed or if the van throws a belt (and it is not fused). Too many risks and compromises in our opinion, so we advise sticking with the proper part.
