This is a less expensive alternative to the Bosch version, which has become very hard to get and expensive (when available at all) and is Mexican made. This version is made by Beru, who like Bosch is an OEM supplier to VW. Note, Beru makes some of these in Germany and some in Mexico. On the ones we currently have, the box says Mexico but the actual coil inside says Germany.
