This is the correct METAL Bosch OEM filter. Bosch has been transitioning to a plastic one, and many vendors have been substituting either the plastic one, or a non-Bosch metal one, while still picturing a metal Bosch, so you can't go by the picture.
Note to Vanagon owners: Some Vanagons have this filter (which goes after the pump), while others (primarily '80-85) have a square plastic filter before the pump, and some have both. If in doubt, look under the van toward the center and see which you have. The square filter is also linked below.
