If your '83 thru early '85 Vanagon came with metal front-to-rear coolant pipes, then this will convert the ends from 1.25 to 1.5 inches, allowing you to use the mid-85 lower front radiator hose and two hoses in the engine compartment going to the bleeder housing, instead of the discontinued '83-84 versions. (We still offer an early style upper radiator hose so there is no need to convert that one.) Priced each.
