This is an original Bosch distributor rebuilt by an independent specialist. (Bosch no longer makes or rebuilds these themselves.) It is suitable for 1968-73 Type 3's with a single vacuum advance. Unlike a centrifugal-advance 009 style distributor, it maintains the proper advance curve for your engine both under load and at idle, which maximizes engine lifespan, performance, and gas mileage.
Distributor cap not included; points and condenser included but may not be Bosch brand.
CORE POLICY: In order to receive your core refund, you must return a vacuum advance distributor for a Bus, Bug, or Type 3. The vacuum canister itself must also be present. Sorry, we cannot accept a distributor with no vacuum port (such as an 009 style centrifugal advance distributor) for a core refund. The core will be checked and must be rebuildable so please allow at least 4 weeks for the refund.
