These are a big upgrade from the stock manual mirrors, and are a direct swap thanks to the included mounting adapters. No drilling, just screw them to your existing holes. The quality convex mirrors are from a leading aftermarket Land Rover parts specialist in the UK. This is a tried-and-true upgrade with thousands in use on Vanagons (and tens of thousands on Land Rovers). Since it uses commonly available mirrors (which we stock as well as other retailers), if you ever break one you can inexpensively replace just the one mirror. (Left and right are the same, which makes it even easier.)
The included U.S. made powder coated mounts and stainless steel hardware are engineered to last, and (unlike some other mounts we've seen) are nicely contoured so they look like they belong on your Vanagon door. Everything you need is included - both mirrors, the mount kits, and simple illustrated instructions.
These will replace late model power mirrors as well, but since they are manual mirrors you'll lose the power/heat feature.
