Completely rebuilt in the UK. Unit is stripped, cleaned and inspected for wear and then measured to ensure it is within original manufacturing tolerance. The case is blasted, then etch primed and painted as required. Seals, bearings, gaskets, dirt seals and fasteners are replaced as a matter of course; peg, worm, sector shaft and roller are replaced as needed. As there are no internal bushings on the early box, any excessive wear is machined to accept a bushing. The sector shaft is ground and the bushings are reamed to ensure a perfect fit. All boxes are fully built up, pre filled with Penrite steering box lube, and bench set up.
