These are excellent wires from the OEM supplier to Volkswagen North America. They have the correct connectors and integrated noise suppressors as per VW spec. These are much nicer than any of the aftermarket alternatives (most of which are Chinese made), or even Bosch, which was Mexican made when last available. You could pay more (a lot more!) but you won't get a better quality wire set for your Vanagon.
1983-84 Vanagon Owners: Your Vanagon would originally have used the wires linked below instead, although in many cases they have been swapped for the later style over the years. To confirm, disconnect one spark plug wire from your distributor cap and look inside the hole in the cap. If you see a pin (stud) inside the hole, these are the wires you need. If you don't see a pin, either order the early style wires instead (linked below), or order these wires plus a matching 03212 distributor cap and 00061 coil (also linked below).
