E-Code H4 Headlights with City Lights - PAIR

These are the same as our popular "Cibie knockoff" E-code headlights, but with European spec City Lights added. The 4 watt clear bulbs can be wired to your parking lights (one wire pigtails off of your front side marker light or the parking light terminal on your front turn signal; the other goes to ground) so they turn on automatically with your parking lights. Or you can wire them to light up whenever your engine is running, like daytime running lights. For only $10/pair more than the standard E-codes, these give your headlights a cool "Euro look" and improve visibility as well. As with the basic E-codes, the H4 headlight bulbs are sold separately (below). The city light bulbs are included (and are 12 volt so they will not work if you have an old split-window Bus still running an original 6 volt electrical system). Note, if you don't connect the city lights these will still function just like the versions without them.
LED-Ready. These headlights accept all H4 LED bulbs, but we don't sell those bulbs and are still recommending halogen bulbs instead. Why? Because retrofit LED's (for vehicles not factory-equipped with LED headlamps) aren't quite ready for prime time yet. There's a reason why the major bulb suppliers are not offering them yet, but off-brand Chinese companies are. The beam pattern tends to be irregular (either blinding oncoming traffic, or not illuminating the road evenly), and reliability, QC, and lifespan are inconsistent. (Also they don't generate heat so they won't melt snow that hits your headlights.) As LED bulb technology improves all you'll have to do is plug in LED bulbs in place of the halogen ones (any H4 sized LED bulb is a direct swap), so nothing stops you from switching to LED anytime you want to. But we recommend trying the Halogens first and you may forget all about LED.
