This specially designed all-season radial (from an OEM Supplier to VW) exceeds VW specs, handles and wears well, and is an excellent value. Unlike passenger car tires, the RA08 is SAFE for use on your Bus or Vanagon, and in fact it outperformed the much pricier Michelin Agilis in a recent independent test in Germany. This tire is about 1/2" taller and 1/3" wider than a stock 185R14 Bus/Vanagon tire, which will cause a 2.5% variation in speedometer reading (61.5 mph will read 60 mph). It is suitable for stock steel wheels or factory Vanagon alloys.
