This is an original Bosch distributor rebuilt by an independent specialist. (Bosch no longer makes or rebuilds these themselves.) It is the correct dual vacuum advance distributor for your engine, with the proper advance curve (unlike a centifugal-advance, 009 style distributor). As a result your engine timing will be correct both at idle AND under load, which maximizes engine lifespan, performance, and gas mileage. Basically it's better for your engine, and performs better as well. Distributor cap not included; points and condenser included but may not be Bosch brand. Dual advance means that there are two vacuum lines going to your distributor, one for advance and one that retards timing at idle. (The second one is primarily intended to reduce emissions.)
This would be correct for the models/years listed below (see details). Please confirm that your vehicle takes a dual vacuum advance distributor. If you currently only have one vacuum line you don't absolutely have to use a retard line but your timing will not retard as much at idle. Alternatively we list single vacuum advance versions below.
